    [Blog] you aren't just bodies

On a daily basis, whether for work or for leisure,  I come across photos of the hottest young women in our world. Either they are pushed through social media, advertisements,  or shared in personal groups  and by all means I welcome them all.  No matter Dark women, light-skinned women, full figured, petite,  various nationalities so on and so forth. Most of who probably have jobs, children and a life other than what we are seeing portrayed on these photographs. However the differences between the character, physique, or personality types one thing remains not only consistent but more prevalent is the maximum exposure of themselves.  It is the focus on their supple breasts, curvaceous rear ends, or sexual disposition.  It is rare in today's time that we are actually shown fully covered women in the social arena and now even more so with the direction that music or the culture has ...

    Enslaving through credit-debt

It's quite clear to see that in these times, credit is becoming something that one really has to have in order to pretty much maintain in a place where everything is priced higher than it's worth and if you need it, then having a decent enough credit score or what have you determines whether or not you can have it now or much later.  Which considering we have the money to pay back on this credit that we have been "granted",  plus the interest charges that they've added for their services is not really a bad thing.  Though the topic of this discussion is not supposed to be about credit, but about debt, but if you consider closely is really one in the same. The instant that the credit is granted to you, is the same exact moment in which it has to be repaid, creating a debt. Yes?..., ...

    [Mature] turnpike thumpin

    "Turnpike Thumpin"

There we were searching for a place to physically express how we felt for one another. From five star hotels to sleazy motels, we had pretty much tried them all, but to a disappointing end. "Maybe this wasn't meant for tonight" she chuckled. For the last few days this had been our luck. Either there were no vacancies, or prices were way too high to be legal. We just knew that tonight would be the night to get our mature thing going. The moment I picked her up from her place, She could barely keep her hands to herself and I was in bliss. The energy and anticipation had grown so high between us only to be let down by this inconvenience.  There was an awkward silence that pretty much confirmed between the two of us,  that we would call it a night and try it again when the stars and galaxies ...

    Mexican Taco Salad

I have been a Moes, Taco Bell and Mexican food fan for quite sometime now, and so much so that I figured that I could do this myself and save a fortune while ensuring that I know whats going into my meals. I often find myself asking the question... "why not make my own Mexican meals?"   I rarely get to order taco salad there and when I do, there is never enough meat. So, i decided to do my very own Taco Salad. This one has enough of everything that I enjoy, Meat, Cheese, and veggies.

    Serve with:

Well apparently the is taco salad is a complete meal in itself. Of you must serve it with something,  I would suggest tortilla chips and a variety of dips. Something like guacamole and cheese or salsa.

    [Artist Development] Knowing your Image

[If it walks like a duck and talk like a duck…] Every artist should and must have his/her own image. Granted that all that we see around us can sometimes re-define that image. Your appearance or image is better accepted from the audience when the can feel your authenticity.  Your image should be treated like your reputation and guarded to whatever degree.  If that image or appearance is that of an educated artist,  that is what the audience will expect. Basically be who you are, wear what you wear, and act your natural self.

don't let him beat it up

Young Ladies, in these days, there seems to be a growing trend in our communities when it comes to sexual intercourse and the way that it is implemented or performed by the young men in our society.  The sacred act of love making is one that should take its course, not rushed and definitely not be painful to you.  This blog is basically to inform you of what's going on in this self- destructive method of love making, who it effects and how, and exactly what you can do in order to not perpetuate or un intentionally encourage the situation. Now granted, there may be a few of you who prefer that every now and then. Some angry guy who would gladly come by for a few hours, to jump up and down in it like he's in a pogo stick,  break down your inner walls and ...

    Gospel/spiritual

Our choice for sect music featured artist this time around is an epic first for us at sect music entertainment, for this is going to be the first artist to be chosen as featured artist, in the genre of gospel music. Although it is classified or considered to be gospel music, Travis Speaks is enjoyed by music fans of other genres such as hip hop, r&b, soul, and hardcore hip hop listeners as well. Mainly because the concepts of the songs that he uses on his album are songs of over coming trials, tribulations, dealing with pain, and most importantly, A higher power, all topics that we can relate to in one way or another. Travis first appeared on a hip hop track with the group "Headrush" in 1998 and from then was musically silent until the latter half of the year 2000 where he released his solo ...

    [Blog] don't blame the music

The new generation of music that we are hearing today, has somehow been attributed to the destructive conditions that we find themselves in today. Yes, the music. Many believe that each component involved in putting together a great song are utilized specifically to provoke certain outcome from the listener. namely, aggressive behavior, disrespect of authority and women, criminal endeavors and basically all else that perpetuates the filling up of prisons and breaking up the urban families. For example, the drums, snares, hi hats, and so forth are programmed or played to incite aggression. The melodies are now more hypnotic than...melodic. The lyrics which are to convey some sort of a message or inspire in one way or another are now falling short of that and the chorus/hooks are repetitive and as if to drive the lack of message in to the mind. If we know that every note on the scale triggers a respective ...

    [Essentials] Exclusive Rights

Having exclusive rights on a work of art is pretty much what gives it it's value and it's bargaining power. How many people are you aware of who would marry a man or a woman that anyone can get at any moment?, My answer would be few and far in between. It's similar to that.  Having exclusive rights ensures that your production is your production and your production only yours, unless you have given permission to someone or some entity to use it. How much more value does something have when only limited people can get it ?. In today's time some artists can not seem to get away from the idea of re-using the productions of others in creating their projects. It has gotten to the point where when you've heard one, you've heard them all. So, who or what  is to stop or deter someone of these artists from using ...

[Love and Advice] Learning when to let go

"It's cheaper to keep her" you've heard the song, or have heard the saying once or twice before. The reference comes from an old song where the artist implies that it is much less expensive to keep her around than the pain it's worth to let her go. That is probably some of the more solid of Love and Advice tips out there. Yes, there is a but... and when there is a "but" everything that was said before it, is then negated, In other words, there is a time to let go and knowing when that time is is very crucial to the outcome of your happiness. Yeah, Really! Letting go at the wrong time can be detrimental to one's happiness and probably to one's health.

From a mile away you can already sense her deeply rooted sense of hip-hop. All from her hip hop terminology, the hip hop demeanor, and the attire to tie it all in, Superstar Pash is definitely about what she does.  "buy my cd from me brother...these females ain't f_ckin' with me, "she says",  "I rap, sing, produce my own music, what's up? support a sister". she continues. Granted we were no where near thanksgiving,  which seems like the only time we are allowed to enjoy Turkey, i had certainly built up an appetite for it. Needless to say we gave it a go and what an eat. These smothered Turkey wings literally just falls off of the bone before you can get them on the fork. Although they do take a rather long time to cook (4 hours) they're absolutely worth the wait.

Powerful for the strong messages that Whisper has encoded into his verses aimed at opening the ears and mind of the conscious and perhaps confused if you are not one with one eye open. The SECT MUSIC  produced project was one of the quickest productions put together that I've witnessed. The week of April 8-15 Whisper was clearly in a zone and held no prejudices over tracks, topics and definitely held no punches. For a week straight in production, the artist also known as Thug Nasty laid two songs per night  to complete the 12 song album. His basis for this hunger, was well, " I don't have time to waste, I'm only getting older." that statement only made Whisper's hunger more intense as he went on to release "Options" and Dance like fools" days after the ...

Put you up on it: The concept

The idea of this song is to kind of raise the standards for young women and all women for that matter,  to demand more from who they are dating and perhaps they can teach the same ethics,  standards, or morals to their born or unborn children. At the same time let them know that there are guys out there who can still satisfy a woman in ways other than just sex. Men who can stimulate her through intellectual conversations,  and men who still treat women with respect.  The song also challeges, or in fact,  it raises the status quo,  As the chorus suggest, for men to step it up. Men need to be reminded that there are guys out there who will give her that royal treatment and without false pretences The song depicts the artist as the raised ...

    Ape Shit feat. Paperchaser|Jay Savage

Artist: Jay Savage, Abdul Jabar, Paperchaser Released 2013

    The concept: Ape shit

Ape shit is the musical warning to wack MC's from the sectmusic affiliates. In case there was any doubt about the versatility of the artists on this track, they all reveal a dark side that we haven't heard much of in recent compilations prior to this track. Ape shit taunts at some local mediocre MC's, outright warning them not to provoke any battles, confrontations, or otherwise with artists with the potential to take things up a notch. Pretty much going from 0 to 100 quick like. They would get the opportunity to witness artist with the gift to change the world as we know it switch to being faceless individuals on guerilla type warfare.

The production of the track was made with stimulating aggressive actions in mind. Certain instruments chosen for specific purposes and the hook, well, ...

the Abdul Jabar single "you still believe" was released in 2012. The track is produced by Dj Jahbarz for sect music entertainment. It is one of those tracks that allows you to see the more conscious and powerful side of Abdul Jabar. The overall feel of the song is that of the early 90's hip hop era and it's a timeless piece that can be appreciated in these days and times. The song will put you into a thinking mindset and you will easily agree that this song is definitely a point for hip hop and the state that it's in.

    You believe in: The concept
