Southern style Smothered Turkey wings
The idea for this meal came to me when I showed up at a family members home who happened to have some turkeys wings in the freezer they disnt know what to do with. Granted we were no where near thanksgiving, which seems like the only time we are allowed to enjoy Turkey, i had certainly built up an appetite for it. Needless to say we gave it a go and what an eat.
These smothered Turkey wings literally just falls off of the bone before you can get them on the fork.
Although they do take a rather long time to cook (4 hours) they’re absolutely worth the wait.
I served these Turkey wings with extra cheesy macaroni and cheese, seasoned butter beans, and corn bread but I really feel like white rice instead of the pasta would have complimented it a whole lot better. Butter beans were good with this dish went well with the meal. Next time I will try it with some kind of greens. Maybe collards.
